It is said that Archangel Metatron, the Angel of Life oversees the flow of energy using what is called Metatron's Cube.  It contains all of the geometric shapes in creation known as Platonic solids.  Plato linked these shapes to the spirit world or heaven because they exist throughout creation, in everything from crystals to human DNA.  The shape contains both feminine (circles) and masculine shapes (triangles) so many believe this symbol represents balance and harmony.
